Rajeev Arora has been at the forefront in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic in Haryana. Under his guidance and leadership the state took several innovative measures to increase Covid-19 testing and vaccination. Molecular Labs have been set up at the District Hospitals in Haryana, where tertiary-level health care services such as ICU care, ventilators and NIVP are provided. To ensure the affordability for the general public, Arora capped the treatment cost for Covid-19 in private hospitals. The effective management of Covid crisis in Haryana is reflected in the low mortality rate. Under his leadership, the state has been the front runner in the country in tackling the Covid with lower mortality rate than the national average. He has contributed to the fields of infrastructure, industrial development, trade, commerce. He also handles home affairs, jails, criminal investigation and administration of justice departments.

Rajeev Arora is an IAS officer of 1987 batch of Haryana Cadre. During his service, he has worked extensively in the fields of infrastructure, industrial infrastructure, trade & commerce. He has served as Managing Director, Haryana Industrial & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd. and also as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Labour in Govt. of India. He was also Hubert H. Humphery Fellow of University of California Davis, USA. He has also worked as Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. Haryana in different Public Works Departments like Public Health and PWD (Buildings & Roads). During his present assignment as Additional Chief Secretary to Govt. Haryana, Health & Family Welfare Department, he has been at the forefront in tackling the challenge of Covid- 19, by increased testing and vaccination alongwith directly supervising and monitoring the installation of Molecular Labs at the District Hospitals, providing tertiary level health care services such as ICU care ventilators, NIVP etc. To ensure the affordability for general public the treatment cost of Covid-19 was also capped in various private hospitals. Under his leadership, the State has been the front runner in the country in tackling the threat of Covid-19 with lower mortality rate than the national average. As Additional Chief Secretary Home, Jails, Criminal Investigation & Administration of Justice Departments, he is working extensively to use his experience for finding solution to the problems of people.
