With the motto of ‘Stay at Home, Play at Home’ the project Mobile 2 Sports was launched by the Sports Authority of Gujarat during Covid-19 to encourage sportspersons to continue with sports skill training and fitness programmes. For it to have a wider reach, the content is localised. The Facebook campaign had 26,000 followers; on YouTube, nearly 30,000 subscribers with over 4 lakh views. The content was watched in 58 countries. 719 coaches in more than 20 sports disciplines across all 33 districts made their contribution in the form of videos.

Every day new videos explaining new sports skills techniques and various fitness programmes were uploaded. As a consequence, a large number of youth got attracted to sports, yoga, and physical activities, quitting the habit to spend too much of their time on mobile.
